I am really enjoying newborns. They are just so fresh and new. Ryan was so good for me, there really wasn’t much fighting at all. He came in awake, mommy fed him, he went to sleep, and I molded. The boys just seem to behave better for me…and look at all that hair! I found it hard to put hats on him, because of all that hair…

baby as artwork | cobourg photographer
I love to be able to use newborn babies as a form as artwork. I believe that your children should cover your walls, they are the most sentimental and precious to you, so why not put them on display. Since I have had children, I have eventually removed my store bought art work and paintings from my walls to replace them with canvas prints or enlargements of my kids, and I smile every time I look at them. So if you are interested in blowing up a print from your session, make sure to mention this, and if you know what room you would like it in, we could always figure out a way to make the photo compliment the room and decoration.
big sister | cobourg photographer
I love to put the big sisters/brothers in some shots with their newest addition to the family. Elliana hadn’t really held Adelyn yet, so she was excited to do so. She was so good with her, even when Adelyn decided to grab her nose a few times. I think that mommy is going to have her hands full now with Elliana wanting to hold Adelyn! I think this little series is adorable!
Adelyn | cobourg photographer
The newest addition to the family. She’s all the way from London (Ontario) for a visit. Just like her sister two years ago, she was a bit harder to work with. Didn’t want to fall asleep, didn’t want to stay asleep for too long, but I still won, like I always do! Those chubby little cheeks looked so cute with the hats, and I was surprised when I took off her diaper and saw the freckle on her tailbone! So cute!
Isaac | Cobourg Photographer
My biggest fighter yet. Isaac is two weeks old, and his parents say that this was the fussiest he’s ever been, he normally sleeps most of the day. It’s my fault, I recently was telling somebody that my boys are usually really good, it’s the little girls that give me the fight. The first hour was spent feeding and soothing and waiting. Then when I finally got him asleep, he lasted for about 10 minutes and was awake again. So probably another hour or so went by to try to get him back asleep….however, even though he fought me, we still got some really cute ones. And would you look at that hair!?! Isn’t it to die for!? I am in LOVE with it… Isaac is a Bebe Collection, so he will be coming back from Ottawa in a few months, can’t wait to see how much his hair has grown…
sleeping beauty | cobourg photographer
i’m just finishing up charlotte’s newborn photos, and wanted to share a couple more. i just love looking at a newborn sleeping, they are so peaceful and beautiful. i think a sleeping newborn is pure innocence. and like i said in the first post on her, she didn’t sleep for long…hence the last photo…we saw a good amount of eyes!
Katelyn | cobourg photographer
Katelyn just left the studio, and for a one month old (well, she’ll be one month on the 11th) she did amazing! she slept the entire time and let me move her and prod her and pose her and scrunch her…I didn’t think it would be as successful of a shoot as it was, because normally at this age, the newborn poses just don’t work as well. But she was my perfect little model, and only peed slightly on one little blanket (the rest was on the floor). I’m posting this one photo right now (got this new prop on the weekend) but will be posting more later on. She has the most adorable mohawk, so I will be showing that in some photos. Can’t decide which version I like better, so I posted both!
father. son. | cobourg photographer
my sister is starting to put the heat on me…she wants her photos! so i’m trying to get them finished…on my 4 days off i may add! i saw this one and i liked the way darren was holding nicholas, so thought i would throw it on up. i find newborns always look that much smaller in the arms of their daddy!
