These are Dave and Amy’s babies. And unfortunately, Alba (the white fur baby) is having health issues and is not doing so well. So Amy’s sister (what a nice sister!) phoned me and asked if I could fit them in for a photosession.  I’ve had a lot of these types of sessions in the past 6 weeks, people realizing how important photos capture memories that are priceless. That when a person or pet is gone, it’s the photographs that help with remembering them. So I was more then happy to photograph these two very playful dogs. And I’m hoping that Alba will have many more years of playing with Lennex…

My last dog was a golden retriever, and must have been a very laid back one, because these two were a handful!

Last Saturday was the last wedding of the season for me, and it was a great one! I am going to do a bit of a post overload since it’s my last wedding (the guys probably deserve a post of their own for all the jumping around and funny posing they were doing, but I’m just gonna do it all at once) so hope you don’t mind!

It was a beautiful day, no rain, a bit of a breeze, and Elaine was stunningly beautiful inside and out. You could tell from the very beginning of the day that family meant so much to both the grooms side and brides side, which always sets a great mood for the day. Elaine is probably the most organized bride I have ever dealt with. She had me go to take photos of the guys at 11 first, and honestly, I was so surprised when I walked in and they were all standing waiting and ready. They even undressed for me so that I could get photos of them “getting read”! Then we headed outside and although it took them a bit to get warmed up (except for Brock and Pete and Jeff) they were game for whatever.

Then when I arrived at Elaine’s house, all of the girls were ready, in their dresses and Elaine was ready to jump into hers as soon as I said so…wow, that hardly ever happens for me! But it was great cause we were able to spend so much time on photos, and not be rushed at all! And I have to say, I got a chuckle when I saw the programs and the favors, because normally it is the grooms name first, but not for this wedding, it was Elaine and Matt’s Wedding I think Matt is just so easy going, and Elaine is a born leader, so they fit very well together.

I have to admit, when I was packing it up and leaving at 11pm, I was tired, and my feet hurt. But it was so much fun watching everyone dance and see how close the families were. Congrats Elaine and Matt, and thanks for letting me be part of your day!

kona is my other mascot for dogs day.  another one of my friends was nice enough to bring him in to the studio for some shots. have you ever heard the saying that a dog looks like his owner? well, i have to say, i think that kona looks like his daddy! (and dave, rosie agrees with me).  the first photo is the type that will be offered on dog day…it’s all about the dog and catching their personalities in their look. the second photo was just for fun, and since rosie had to wait longer then kristen to see her baby on my blog, i thought i’d post an extra!
