My biggest fighter yet. Isaac is two weeks old, and his parents say that this was the fussiest he’s ever been, he normally sleeps most of the day. It’s my fault, I recently was telling somebody that my boys are usually really good, it’s the little girls that give me the fight. The first hour was spent feeding and soothing and waiting. Then when I finally got him asleep, he lasted for about 10 minutes and was awake again. So probably another hour or so went by to try to get him back asleep….however, even though he fought me, we still got some really cute ones. And would you look at that hair!?! Isn’t it to die for!? I am in LOVE with it… Isaac is a Bebe Collection, so he will be coming back from Ottawa in a few months, can’t wait to see how much his hair has grown…

1 week new | cobourg photographer
emily just left the studio, and today she is 1 week. actually, she isn’t even supposed to be born yet, not for another week. and for being early, she is feisty and alert. it always seems like the little girls give me the most fight. but once i got her sleeping, she let me move her around pretty good. the last photo i laughed at. she woke up when we were going to do some hand shots, and decided to grab her daddy’s nose.
In our arms | cobourg photographer
I came in to do some work today, and since Nathan was in town doing a course, he stopped in so I could do some photos with him and Kaleb. I think we got some cute ones, and I’m even posting one of myself (although I didn’t plan on taking any with me, so have no make up on…but bear with me!) however, I’m hoping my friend Tina will be coming up to take some more photos of me and Kaleb and maybe the family. Just thought I’d share…
ms. feisty charlotte | cobourg photographer
just taking a break from all of the bunnies to post some photos of charlotte from this morning. she is three weeks today, but technically she should not be born quite yet. when i was told this, i thought, great, she’ll still be in that ‘womb mood’ and sleep the entire time. uh….no. i got her undressed and layed her on the blanket to settle her, and took a couple quick shots. her eyes were closed, so i thought, this is good. then the noises began. she is a grunter and stretcher. and very quickly, those eyes popped open and stayed open for a lot of the session. when i did finally get her to sleep at the end, we got some of those newborn poses, but she didn’t stay a sleep for long! she’s going to be a feisty one i think. i loved photographing all 5 (and a bit) pounds of her!

katelyn, part 2 | cobourg photographer
As promised, here are a few more from yesterdays session. Katelyn decided to make her mommy and daddy wait 16 years before she decided it was time to arrive. But by the looks of her and her wonderful little personality, the wait was worth it (yes, easy for me to say!). And her mommy is another very smart mommy. She knows how important that first year is to capture all the changes and milestones, and I will get the pleasure of photographing her three more times this year since she is now part of the Bebe Collection.
I think that newborns are turning into one of my favourite ages to photograph. They’re just so new and innocent and lovely. Although they change out of that newborn stage pretty quickly!
Thanks Tammy and Denis for being so laid back, it always makes the session go so much more smooth!
7 days new | northumberland photographer
After only a week of age, landon has had his first photoshoot. I photographed his big brother lincoln when he was just a newborn, so it was nice to come back again. landon looks just like lincoln did, maybe a bit longer. he was over 9 pounds when he was born, but it only took 1.5 hours for him to be born (very impressive!). He was quite awake at first, which i’m told is very unusal for him. but i enjoyed seeing his big blue eyes. he had a favourite side, and would wait for me to get him all set up on his belly with his head on his hands, and as soon as i’d get ready to take his photo, he’d move himself onto his side! thanks landon for being a pleasure today!

baby chunk | northumberland photographer
i have already posted some photos of baby ella, but since they are no longer on my blog, i thought i would post one more. i think she was the perfect amount of baby chunk. and when you put her in a pose like this, it helps to show it off even more. i look forward to photographing her in the future!
