Carpenter Family | Cobourg Photographer
Due to the fact that I am going on holidays the end of the week, today is a work day. To start the day off, I got to take photos of the Carpenter Family. The goal was one great family photo. There have not been many I’ve been told, it is very tricky. And well, Abby at 4 years, was good for me, but was very interested in my doll stroller and chair, and Felicity wanted to be on the go and walk without having to be held in one spot. But we worked quick, I had my weapons (singing duck, annoying rooster and tickle stick) and I think the goal was accomplished!
Ethan | Cobourg Photographer
I have been photographing Ethan since he was in his mommy’s belly, and now he is 3! For his first two weeks of life, I was the one that bathed him, until his mommy got comfortable enough to do it
He used to like the camera, then he decided he hated it and would run away, cry, scream, anything to get away from it. Now I just wait….patiently….I let him do what he wants, and eventually I get him looking at me for some. He knows too that he’s being a little bum! He thinks it is very funny, and well, I get the last laugh cause I get the photos!
I will probably post some more, ones that really show his ‘attitude’…
kaleb, almost 3 months | cobourg photographer
Took Kaleb into the studio to get a couple shots of him at 3 months old. He slept for the first bit, then woke to give me some great smiles. I had a bit of a ‘funny’ happen while at the studio. I was wearing a shirt that can be strapless, or have straps. Well, I broke the one strap on my way into town, so just too the other one off. I was moving all over the place in the studio, trying to get the shots, and getting smiles and keeping kaleb happy, that i did not notice my shirt was slowly slipping. Then I walked to the front of the studio, in front of the big windows, and there was somebody walking by and they gave me a bit of a wierd look. I realized when I looked down that my shirt was down…luckily I was wearing a bra!!
More to come…
365 days have gone by | cobourg photographer
since Aleita was born. She came in today on her birthday for some fun in the studio. I wish I had video of her mommy and daddy behind me getting smiles out of her. They were dancing and singing and making all different noises. I couldn’t stop laughing. But we got some great smiles because of it. I like when parents are ok to be silly in order to get those smiles. However, I still love the serious looks. The one of her sitting on the chest with her scottish cow, I love. It was the last photo from that set up, and I don’t know why, but I love it! here is a sneak peak. I don’t have her cake shots up yet, that will be a different post, with a slideshow, so keep watching for that…
bickle bits | cobourg photographer
I can’t believe I did not think of this before. It makes me sad at all of the missed shots because I wasn’t thinking. At night, before I go to sleep, I go in and check on my children. One of my favorite times of the day. They are so peaceful, there is no whining, complaining, fighting…just the quiet sounds of their breathing. My girls share a crib. You can not put one down to sleep without the other. They love to roll around and play before they fall asleep, and after they wake up. You can always hear them in there laughing and giggling with each other. We lay them on opposite sides of the crib, and when I go in to check on them, they are almost always pushed up against one corner, and tight to each other as possible. Sometimes if you stand there long enough, you will see Eve stroke Gracie’s arm, or Gracie pat Eve on the belly, all in their sleep. They used to suck each others thumb! Sometimes, they are actually laying on top of each other! So I thought, I need to capture these sleeping positions and share them with you, and maybe you will get as much enjoyment and laughter out of them as I do! This was from last night…
and this is them making faces…although Gracie didn’t really get the idea…
