David and Jen get Married! | Cobourg Wedding Photographer

We had a beautiful day for this wedding, and a beautiful location. David is one of the biggest blinkers I’ve ever photographed! But he made up for it by being very easy going. Jen looked perfect in her dress and pearls and was up for anything. Couldn’t have asked for a better couple. Thanks you two for having me capture your special day!
Chase and Amanda get Married! | Cobourg Photographer
We had a beautiful day for their wedding (maybe a bit hot but that is always better than rain!), a beautiful spot, and a beautiful bride. Amanda was a bride that knew how to work the camera (gotta say I love these ones!) and was a pro….Chase on the other hand, it took some coaxing to get him to enjoy his photos being taken
The girls were sweet and had lots of fun, and the boys made me work my butt off! Thanks Case and Amanda for having me capture all the little details of your wedding day!
And then we had a little fun….
Ian and Marlena get Married! | Cobourg Photographer
When I did their engagement session and cows were involved, I thought that they were a bit country (nothing wrong with that). When I did their wedding, I realized how wrong I was….Ian is not a bit country, he is complete country. And luckily for him, he found a girl that doesn’t mind running around in the mud, driving a tractor, and helping with the cows and chickens! Marlena and Ian, thanks for letting me be part of your day, it was a lot of fun, and your wedding party rocked!

Matt and Stacey Get Married! | Cobourg Photographer
When Stacey got engaged I was so excited, she takes beautiful photos! Then she set her wedding date during our summer holidays to Nova Scotia….with a little persuading, I decided to switch out holidays a couple weeks later so that I could photograph her wedding, and I can’t say it was a wrong choice! Had a lot of fun at her wedding, and like I knew, she was beautiful (yes Matt, you were pretty cute too). Although Nathan and I had a good laugh in the evening. See, in the winter, we always skiied instead of skated, and don’t really follow hockey. Well a lot of the groomsmen play hockey. We were talking to one of them, Bryan, at the reception because his last name was the same as ours, but he told us he spells it Bickell. Nathan then asked him what he does, and he said ‘I play a little hockey’ so Nathan was like, ‘oh ya, what team?’…..”Black Hawks”….Yep, he plays a little hocky…
Thanks Matt and Stacey for having me photograph your beautiful day!
Nathan wasn’t just my assistant, he was also helping with babies, although I don’t know if you would want somebody like this holding your child!
Dean Mandzuk and Ashley Simpson get Married….Punta Canada Style | Cobourg Photographer
You’ve heard me say it before, wedding photography is very important. You put so much effort and planning into your wedding day, and at the end of the night, your flowers wilt, your cake is gone, the food is eatten….all you have to remember everything are your photos. And of course, everyone these days has a digital camera and anyone can point it at you and shoot away, but if you want artistic wedding photos that are going to tell the day and last a lifetime then get an actual wedding photographer. For Ashley, photos were the most important for her, and for Dean, going away was the most important for him. So they decided to make sure they got both. I can’t say I was upset that they wanted me to do their photos, especially when they said they were going to Punta Cana for the week. So off we go, and I have to say, one of my favorite weddings I’ve photographed (not only because I get a week holiday either). And honestly, after seeing the photography that the resort offers, they made the right choice to bring me along. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t be happy with ten photos from my wedding day, especially with somebody taking them that obviously is not a professional wedding photographer.
We wandered the resort, found cool locations, did some night shots, and then today ‘trashed’ it on the beach. The amount of photos they are going to get is exciting (they gave me 5 hours for photos) and the different things we were able to play around with is awesome. I just showed them the teaser you are about to see (don’t worry, there will be many more to come) and the smiles on their face have made my night. So enjoy….
P.S I will be blogging one of our adventures when I get back, it was interesting….
Jeremy and Lindsay get married | Cobourg Photographer
I have photographed Lindsay, Jeremy and their twin boys a few times now, so was excited for their wedding. I have to say, the wedding party was a lot of fun, especially the boys. They were all so easy going and ready for a good time, at one point, the boys were even directing traffic while we were trying to do a walking shot on the road. The camera loved Lindsay and she was a beautiful bride! And what I liked the best, photos were important to them so we took lots of time to make sure we got a good variety. Thanks Jeremy and Lindsay for making it such a fun wedding!
