Another Family Session | Cobourg Photographer
It is that time of year when I see a ton of families! I actually have known Cheryl since I was in Plainville school, she was the secretary there. Now my son goes there, and she is nice enough to give me updates on how he is doing. We had a bit of an ordeal with this session. I forgot my tickle stick, which I could have used on Ross
but I did let him bring out his tractor to truck that couch around the farm. But then my husbands truck decided not to start when we were done, so he had to pack up all the kids and come get me. Cheryl had me bring them all inside, and they very quickly made themselves at home running around the house. Thanks guys for making it a fun evening!

It’s one thing having a two year old that doesn’t like to smile, but it’s another having a grown boy not wanting to smile! This family was a lot of fun to photograph, even though Jesse didn’t particularly like smiling. At least his twin, Tyson was a bit more willing (I’m just bugging you Jesse!). I’ve known Marley for a few years now and when she booked in a session she gave me a few warnings about certain things. We had awesome weather, great lighting and lots of laughs. When I haul that green couch around, I have to drive my husbands big cube van (some people laugh when they see me drive up with it) to get it around. Well, Jesse and Tyson were nice enough to load up the couch after the session, and I just assumed they closed the back door. Well as I was driving away, I got a phone call saying, ‘The back door is open still!’ Oops! (shhh don’t tell Nathan!)

When I heard the news that Brenda and Scott had recently been told from the doctor, I decided to offer my services as a gift to them. Scott has been diagnosed with cancer, and it has spread quickly throughout his body. I wanted to make sure they had recent family photos, because like I always say, family photos truely are priceless. They are something that you will always have, to show others and to hold dear to your heart. In my eyes, having family photos done is one of the best gifts you can give yourself and your children. We did two different sessions, here are just a few…Thank you Brenda and Scott for allowing me to give you this gift. It is always a wonderful feeling to be able to use my talent to help others.
Green Couch Special – October 1st, Fall Colors October 22nd
If you’re just starting to think about Christmas, you are a bit behind this year! It has been one of my busiest seasons this year, and spots are really booking up with family photos. Everyone is wanting to update for Christmas Gifts and Christmas Cards. My clients had so much fun last year with the Green Couch that I will be doing it again October 1st, as well as a Fall Colors October 22nd. Half of the spots are bookes already, so please don’t wait! I will not be lugging my green couch around like I did last year, October 1st is the only time it’s being used.
You get a 30 minute session (I find that anything under that does not give enough time to get the kids warmed up and happy for the camera) with 25 specially designed Christmas Cards just for you. What a nice surprise you’ll give to friends and family when they receive theirs in the mail! And trust me, they will be jealous they didn’t do the same thing! You will also receive 15% off any product you would like to order when doing one of the specials. All of this for only $149.00!
If those dates don’t work for you, or you would like a full family session, please email me for details. A lot of my spots are filling up for this, because unfortunately I have to have a cutoff to have everything ready for Christmas!
Can’t wait to see all the new and returning clients this year!
Emily is 1 | Cobourg Photographer
I photographed Emily when she was just a squishy newborn, so was excited to photograph her again now that she is one. It’s amazing how much they grow and change in one year, although I think she still has the same amount of hair from when she was a newborn!
She was a bit serious, but a few licks from her dog and she would smile for us…
Fun Family in the Rain | Northumberland Photographer
What do you do when it’s raining and you have a family shoot scheduled? Sometimes we reschedule if they want, but since one of the families was driving from Ottawa for these photos, we decided to make due. And there’s nothing like squishing onto a porch with 4 families, plus grandma and grandpa, and a few dogs. Everyone was in high spirits and we had a lot of fun, even though we were limited to the porch. At the end we decided to run out onto the lawn for a few, since it didn’t matter if we got a bit wet…
