Owen came back to the studio, and brought his smiles! Last time I photographed him, he couldn’t even sit, now he’s sitting and just about ready to move.  He made it a very easy session with his huge smiles and laid back personality, I would love to get him outside for a session, I think he would be so much fun to chase around!

Hunter was a very busy bo, and was much more interested in exploring then having his photos taken. He gave me some interesting expressions at times, I couldn’t help but laugh. He ended up coming back for a re-do and I think it helped. He got most of his exploring done the first time, I remembered to hide the stairs, and buy some extra sticky duct tape. Here are a few!

It’s my nephews 2nd birthday today. I can remember to what I was doing two years ago. I was away in Waterloo doing a photography workshop, but my sister wasn’t supposed to be induced until the 26th so I knew I would be home in time. I was there for my nieces deliveries (I actually got to help with Jordyn being born) and wanted to be there for his. But my sister talked the doctor into inducing her on the 25th and so when I got the call in the morning that she was at the hospital, I was not impressed! Especially since I had hitched a ride with somebody so could not just leave until later in the day. I phoned her every hour to get an update, and I’m sure she was getting annoyed. At one point I even thought I would make it in time. I talked Dan into leaving a tad bit early and I think he drove faster then he normally would have. I was pregnant at the time, and I remember when I got their hauling my very heavy camera bag and suitcase up the hallway and thinking I was going to keel over! But I got there, and pretty close to his birth, but I was bummmed that I didn’t get to be in the room.

Two years later and I’ve got a curly haired, tall, shy nephew that likes to flirt with me when I come over. I think he flirts with me the most and nobody is going to tell me otherwise. So Happy Birthday to my sweet little man!! Auntie loves you!

This family came in to do a session since mom and daughters were donating their hair to locks for love. I have done this four times now, so I was more then happy to take their photos. Giving back is a very important thing to me (sometimes Nathan says to me, “it’s great that you like to donate to these charities, but sometimes you need to donate to the Jill fund, I mean, we have four children to raise!”) so when I hear of other people’s giving, it makes me smile, especially when kids are involved in the giving…

These three brothers were in the studio last week and were a lot of fun.  We had to move quick because you know the attention span of boys, but we got lots of smiles, and they were excited when they got to play on the bike. They eyed it as soon as they got in the studio, so I got to use it as a bribe for awhile. Here are a couple sneak peaks!

Kennedy was full of energy and expression when she came to the studio. It took a little bit of coaxing here and there, but we got some great shots. She is the typical three year old girl that likes to do it her way and have a reply for everything. She kept me on my toes, but I never mind that….here are a few!

I am a bit sad that I have missed many stages of Kaleb in the studio. I have not brought him in for photos as often as I wish, so on Tuesday when the girls were at preschool, I took some photos of the boys. I had about 4 minutes that they allowed me to have, so I couldn’t do much, but was glad I got a few. I am so sad to say my baby is no longer a baby, he is growing way too fast for my liking.

I am so behind in my blogging! Hopefully I can get caught up in the next little while. Eve had to make two trips to the studio, but it worked out because on the second trip daddy came for some photos, and we were able to get more smiles out of her! Although I have to say, when her mommy and her came for their viewing, she was the most smiley I’ve seen her Here are a few…

Ok, I have to show you this one, it’s one of my favorites from today.  There have been so many children in today, and I’d say about half were not very sure about Santa…

This mini session kept me laughing the whole time. Such personality and charm this little one had.  He was so much fun to photograph and gave me lots of expressions. It was very hard for me to pick a favorite!
