Some images I see and I know exactly how I want the finished product to look, and I get very excited. This was one of them. There are some photos that just belong as artwork on your wall, in a wall size print (and I’m not talking 8×10). To me, this is one of them!

This little one was kind of past that really newborn stage, so was not a fan of sleeping, being moved or being scrunched! But with patience, we got some really cute shots. And she’s got three older sisters and one older brother to boss her around when she gets older!

What better way to start your Monday then with a squishy little newborn? I posted a few of Alice already, but thought I would post some awake ones of her as well. She really didn’t sleep much for us at all, but when she was awake she was so bright eyed and alert! She has such pretty eyes, so I didn’t mind that I got to photograph them open as well!

I’ve been getting a lot of toddler girls in the studio lately, although Emily didn’t make me work so hard for smiles like some have! She loved being naked and was posing it up while naked with her red shoes on, it was adorable. She’s going to be a big sister very soon (although when mommy told me when she was due, I was surprised, she does not look it at all!) and seemed to enjoy sitting on her baby sibling…

And sometimes, you just get hungry…

Parker came for his second visit to the studio, and I swear, if you could read babies minds, I think we would have heard “What are these crazy people doing?” With that said, he was a very good boy and let us play around. I could just cuddle him up and take him home! Thanks Janice and Mike for trusting me to capture his first year, I’m excited for his next session!

It’s always fun to be able to try something different in a session.  It keeps the creative juices flowing. When I saw mommy’s tattoo peaking out from the top of her shirt, I asked if she wanted to include it, and since mommy was so easy going, she said “sure!” More to come from this session…

Ryan is part of my milestone collection, and was in the studio the other day for his 8 month session.  My milestone babies seem to come in clumps, and it seems like that will be the case in August and September! Ryan was nice enough to give me lots of smiles and some adorable expressions! I found it very hard to pick favorites, which is why there are so many in this post! I’m excited for his next session!

I love when babies come to the studio and they just smile…the whole time. Claire was one of those babies. And because of this, we got to spend so much time doing photos, lots of different set ups. Rich and Sarah, she’s just one big adorable bundle!

I’ve known Sarah for a long time. Now we get to have babies together. Well, she brought Claire in for her 7 month photoshoot and as usual, she came prepared. If there was some sort of disaster that’s ok, there would be something in that suitcase to fix it. But, it is better to come prepared then not have enough outfits…

Hudson came into the studio for his first professional photoshoot. He is kind of in that in between stage where, and insisted on rolling when I would prop him up on his stomach…and liked looking everywhere but at my camera! So we used mommy and daddy as props.  It wasn’t until the very last couple shots, when the session was done, that he fell asleep!
